Licht am Ende des Datentunnels (GoldenGate)
Cameras, smart sensors, and AI systems could increasingly take over tasks on board in the future – from assisting pilots to optimizing fuel consumption. The recently launched GoldenGate research project investigates how these growing volumes of data can be processed efficiently and transmitted to the ground via an optical connection within just a few minutes after landing.

XPONENTIAL EUROPE: ZAL showcases H2 drone
Vom 24. bis 26. März war das ZAL auf der XPONENTIAL Europe in Düsseldorf vertreten. Im Fokus standen Wasserstoffdrohnen und ihr enormes Potenzial: Mit Flugzeiten von bis zu 2,5 Stunden bei gasförmigem Wasserstoff und sogar über 8 Stunden bei flüssigem Wasserstoff eröffnen die Systeme neue Möglichkeiten für Anwendungen wie das Monitoring von Küsten- und Gewässerinfrastrukturen oder Pipeline-Inspektionen.
