On December 13, in the TechCenter's Greenhouse, ZAL hosted a workshop on The Future of Robotics in Airplane Manufacturing. An interdisciplinary group of experts consisting of ZAL partners from business, science and industry discussed visionary approaches to the future of robotics production. The technology-radar group discussed in detail the potential, challenges and limitations of robotics in the time period 2030 to 2040.

It became apparent that the existing wide range of technologies and opportunities will continue to play a major role in the aviation industry in the future. It became particularly clear that the activities will be centred around people and the human senses will play a greater role in robotics.
